APPLETON, WI (WTAQ-WLUK) — Those who live in Appleton can share their views on the city’s police department through a public survey this summer.
The department launched the survey on Tuesday. It asks respondents about concerns they would like the department to address, how the department can best share information and how familiar respondents are with various department initiatives.
The survey takes 2-3 minutes to complete.
The department says it will use responses to make decisions on:
- Patrol strategies and officer deployment
- Community policing initiatives and engagement opportunities
- Resource allocation for crime prevention and intervention programs
- Long-term strategic planning and partnership development
“The community’s voice is essential in shaping public safety strategies that are both responsive and equitable,” Chief Polly Olson said in a news release. “We are asking for honest feedback to help us understand what is working, where we can improve, and how we can ensure that our efforts truly reflect the priorities of the people we serve.”
The survey will be open until July 10.
