GREEN BAY, WI (WTAQ-WLUK) — A Green Bay clinic is now offering expanded mental health services.
The N.E.W. Community Clinic held a ribbon cutting event Tuesday for its new behavioral health clinic wing its clinic location at 424 S. Monroe Avenue.
The expansion offers increased access to individual, family and group therapy services, as well has medication management to reduce overdoses from substance abuse.
Dr. Katie Patterson, director of behavior health at the N.E.W. Community Clinic, says a federal grant that helped fund the expansion will add six new team members who will be able to meet the demand of more than 2,500 expected client visits per year.
N.E.W. Community Clinic serves uninsured and underinsured residents in Northeast Wisconsin at multiple brick-and-mortar locations as well as a mobile unit.
