Flights will be on Boeing 737-800 planes, which have 186 seats.
Southwest Florida International Airport serves travelers to and from Fort Myers, Sanibel Island, Bonita Springs, Naples and Marco Island.
Austin Straubel airport director Marty Piette released this statement:
Green Bay Austin Straubel International Airport (GRB) has proudly hosted seasonal service from Sun Country Airlines over the past five years, including their most recent route to Fort Myers this past spring. While we are disappointed to see Sun Country depart from our market, we understand that airline strategies and network planning are continually evolving. GRB remains committed to providing exceptional air service options and continues to grow with our airline partners — American, Delta, Frontier, and United. We sincerely appreciate the ongoing support of our community as we work to expand travel opportunities in Northeast Wisconsin.
