FREEDOM, WI (WTAQ-WLUK) — Freedom High School is being recognized for its automotive program.
The school recently received ASE Training Program accreditation by the ASE Education Foundation for its Collision Repair & Refinish Fundamentals.
This makes Freedom High School the first High School Collison Fundamentals Program in the nation to earn ASE accreditation.
The school is also getting praise for integrating academic skills in English and mathematics into the program.
Officials say this will help students be prepared for the workforce.
“Students will be assured of a quality education, and shop owners will be assured of getting quality job applicants,” said teacher, Jay Abitz who is now an ASE certified instructor.
The ASE Education Foundation is a non-profit, independent organization that evaluates and accredits entry-level technician training programs against standards developed by the automotive industry.
