GREEN BAY, WI (WTAQ-WLUK) — A member of the Green Bay Area Public School District’s Board of Education resigned Thursday.
Kou Lee was elected to a three-year term in April 2024.
No reason for his resignation was provided, but it came on the same day the Green Bay Press-Gazette published an article detailing an investigation that appeared to reveal Lee campaigned for the board seat using an address he didn’t live at.
District officials say at a future meeting, the school board will “review the timeline and process to appoint a new board member” through April 2026. The seat will then be filled through a spring election.
