GREEN BAY, WI (WTAQ-WLUK) — A man is in custody after a disturbance on Green Bay’s east side.
Just before 7:45 a.m. Wednesday, officers responded to the 1300 block of Doty Street for a report of a physical disturbance between two people.
When officers arrived to make contact with the suspect, they learned that the suspect ran away from the scene, possibly armed with a handgun.
The victim sustained non-life threatening injuries.
Police SWAT and Crisis Negotiation Team were called to assist in a peaceful surrender.
A temporary shelter-in-place order was put in place for those living in the area.
The suspect, a 39-year-old Green Bay man, was taken into custody without further incident just before 10:30 a.m.
The shelter-in-place order was lifted and Doty Street reopened shortly after the arrest.
