FOND DU LAC COUNTY, WI (WTAQ-WLUK) — A traffic stop on I-41 last week resulted in one arrest and the seizure of various illegal drugs.
It happened April 11 in Fond du Lac County, when a deputy stopped a vehicle for an equipment violation.
Authorities say during the course of the traffic stop, the female driver “attempted to discard illegal narcotics she had concealed on her person.”
Those drugs were seized by the deputy, and a subsequent search of the vehicle located additional narcotics. That included 39 grams of crack cocaine, a small amount of methamphetamine-heroin mixture and several prescription pills for which the woman did not have a legal prescription. Drug paraphernalia was also found.
The driver, a 37-year-old De Pere woman, is currently in custody at the Fond du Lac County Jail on a $30,000 cash bail. At the time of her arrest, she was out on bond for illegal narcotics-related charges in Brown County.
The woman is facing charges of possession with intent to deliver cocaine, possession of narcotic drugs, possession/illegally obtained prescription, possession of drug paraphernalia and misdemeanor bail jumping.
