CALUMET COUNTY, WI (WTAQ-WLUK) — A Green Bay man will spend one decade behind bars for providing the drugs used in a fatal overdose in Calumet County in 2023.
35-year-old Craig Redmond was sentenced April 4 to 10 years in state prison and 20 years of extended supervision.
It comes after a jury convicted him in early February of first-degree reckless homicide. A charge of manufacture/deliver fentanyl was dismissed on the defendant’s motion, court records show.
According to the Appleton Police Department, in August 2023, a 32-year-old male was found dead inside his home from a fentanyl overdose.
An investigation determined Redmond supplied the fentanyl that caused the man’s overdose death.
