OSHKOSH, WI (WTAQ-WLUK) — Police conducted a search warrant Tuesday at a residence in the neighborhood of an Oshkosh school as part of a drug investigation.
The Oshkosh Police Department says it notified Emmeline Cook Elementary School of the search warrant prior to it being served, in an effort to keep all students and staff members safe.
“The presence of illegal drugs and drug dealers poses a threat to the health, safety, and well-being of our residents,” the department said in a news release.
Drug overdoses are a threat to all of us. We will not tolerate the distribution, sale, or possession of illegal narcotics within our city. We will continue to work tirelessly, utilizing all available resources to identify and apprehend those individuals who engage in these destructive behaviors. We stand united with our community in the fight against drugs, ensuring Oshkosh remains a safe place for all.
An investigation is ongoing by the Oshkosh Police Department’s Vice and Narcotics Unit. Anyone with information regarding the incident is asked to call (920) 236-5700.
