OSHKOSH, WI (WTAQ-WLUK) — The names of the four finalists in the search for a new UW-Oshkosh chancellor have been released.
The finalists are:
- Robert Brinkmann, Dean, College of Liberal Arts and Sciences at Northern Illinois University, DeKalb, IL
- Amy Hietapelto, Dean, Labovitz School of Business and Economics of University of Minnesota-Duluth, Duluth, MN
- Manohar Singh, Interim President of Western Connecticut State University, Danbury, CT
- Joe Whitehead, Senior Advisor to the President for Regional Science Initiatives of Bowling Green State University, Bowling Green, OH
Next week, the candidates will participate in separate campus forums, offering opportunities for students, faculty, staff, and community members to interact directly with them. The finalists will also take part in a public conversation.
After reviewing campus feedback, Universities of Wisconsin President Jay Rothman and the Special Regent Committee will interview the finalists. The Special Regent Committee will recommend a single successful candidate to the Board of Regents, which must approve the appointment.
The person selected through this process will be UW-Oshkosh’s 12th leader.
Chancellor Andrew Leavitt, who has served in the position for 10 years, announced his resignation last year. He will officially step away from his role June 30.
