CHARLESTOWN, WI (WTAQ-WLUK) — A child died in a Calumet County house fire.
Crews were called to a residential fire in the town of Charlestown just after 2 a.m. Wednesday.
An unresponsive child was recovered from the scene and life-saving measures were performed.
The child was taken to a hospital where they were pronounced deceased.
Officials did not release the age of the child.
The Calumet County Sheriff’s Office and investigators in the State Fire Marshal’s Office are investigating the fire and the child’s death.
