KAUKAUNA, WI (WTAQ-WLUK) — A fire caused about $150,000 worth of damage to a Kaukauna home.
Around 2:14 a.m. Monday, crews were called to a fire at 105 W 5th Street.
Firefighters saw smoke coming from the upper floor and roof of the two-story home.
All occupants safely evacuated, including the family dog.
Crews say the fire originated in the upstairs office and had extended through a wall and ceiling into the second-floor attic space.
Fire departments remained on scene for just over three hours until the fire was fully extinguished.
Many of the belongings in the home were tarped by the fire department personnel to salvage as much property as possible.
The cause of the fire remains under investigation.
The public is reminded to call 911 during a fire and never re-enter the structure.
