CLINTONVILLE, WI (WTAQ-WLUK) — A man died Friday after his UTV crashed into a truck in Clintonville.
It happened just after noon at the intersection of U.S. Highway 45/West Madison Street and Bennett Street.
According to the Clintonville Police Department, an initial investigation determined a UTV was traveling southbound on Bennett Street when it failed to stop at the stop sign at U.S. 45/W. Madison St. The UTV then struck a pickup truck traveling westbound on U.S. 45/W. Madison St.
The driver of the UTV, an 87-year-old Marion man, suffered life-threatening injuries in the crash. He was taken by ambulance to the Clintonville Airport to await the arrival of the ThedaStar helicopter, but he died before he could be transported.
The 46-year-old Alma Center male driving the truck was not injured.
