MENASHA, WI (WTAQ-WLUK) — A man died after officers pulled him from Little Lake Butte des Morts.
Just before 10 p.m. Wednesday, officers were called to the area of Emily Street and Ninth Street for a report of a male yelling.
Police say they found a man about 15-20 ft. offshore yelling in Little Lake Butte des Morts, just to the south of the Ninth Street Boat Landing.
Officers tried to reach the 67-year-old man, with a throwable floating life disc, but weren’t successful.
An officer went into the lake, and then pulled the man to shore.
He was taken to the hospital where he died.
His name hasn’t been released.
