MADISON – Applications are now available for Wisconsin Farm Bureau’s Young Farmer and Agriculturist program’s Farming for the Future, Outstanding Agriculture Professional and 35 Under 35 awards.
- The Farming for the Future Award recognizes members who own or work on a farm.
- The Outstanding Agriculture Professional Award recognizes members who have an off-farm career.
- The 35 Under 35 program recognizes members excelling in sustainability.
Applicants are asked to share information about their role in agriculture, leadership experience and involvement in Farm Bureau.
“The next generation of agricultural leaders is shaping the future of our farms, businesses and rural communities—often in the face of immense challenges,” said WFBF YFA Chair Kendall Riskedal. “These awards shine a light on their dedication, resilience and impact. Now more than ever, it’s crucial to recognize and uplift those who are driving agriculture forward.”
The winner of the Farming for the Future and Outstanding Agriculture Professional awards will receive $1,500 courtesy of GROWMARK, Inc., a trip to attend the 2026 American Farm Bureau Federation Young Farmers & Ranchers Leadership Conference, will be eligible to participate in the 2027 YFA Washington, D.C. Fly-In and be a guest of the 2026 WFBF YFA Conference.
Thirty-five finalists will be selected for the 35 Under 35 program. Each finalist will receive $100 cash and other prizes. A top individual will be selected in each category to receive $500 cash. 35 Under 35 is sponsored by Insight FS.
