BROWN COUNTY, WI (WTAQ) — First responders in Brown County are introducing a proactive new safety measure.
The Brown County Public Safety Premise Information Form was created after a series of public education events.
“Some of our elderly citizens expressed concerns, weather that’s first responders getting into the home after they have fallen, or if there is an individual in the house on oxygen and there’s a fire, or any other means where they wouldn’t be able to help themselves outside,” said communications supervisor Jessica Skalecki.
You can also share information regarding any special needs, allergies, pets, garage door codes, spare key locations or anything else that may be useful for first responders.
“The form was designed to put that information on file in our CAD [Computer Aided Dispatch] system so our first responders can see it as they’re arriving to the scene,” said Skalecki. She added that this helps them render aid more quickly and effectively.
Information provided will only be seen by the Brown County Public Safety Team and first responders.
