CALUMET COUNTY, WI (WTAQ-WLUK) — Two people are dead and another person is in critical condition after a collision Wednesday night in Calumet County.
Around 6:20 p.m., the sheriff’s office responded to a two-vehicle crash on State Highway 32/57 near Shady Lane Drive in the town of Charlestown.
Authorities believe a southbound pickup truck was struck head-on by a northbound SUV.
The driver of the truck, a 73-year-old man, and his passenger, a 70-year-old woman, both from the New Holstein area, were pronounced dead at Ascension Chilton Medical Center.
The driver of the SUV, a 57-year-old woman from the Chilton area, is hospitalized in critical condition.
An investigation into the crash is ongoing.
