MADISON, WI – As the prestigious 2025 United States Championship Cheese Contest® approaches, the nation is watching – and dairy product manufacturers in the Green Bay area are ready. Twenty-two local businesses have submitted entries to be evaluated March 4-6 at Resch Expo in Green Bay, Wisconsin, in competition for the coveted title of U.S. Champion Cheese. Their products are among a total of 2,414 entries across 117 classes of dairy products.
“We’re pleased to see dairy manufacturers across the country take advantage of this chance to improve their craftsmanship, grow their businesses, and achieve one of the cheese industry’s highest honors,” said Kirsten Strohmenger, Contest Director. “We wish these entrants from the Green Bay area – and all those participating – the best of luck!”

Preliminary rounds of judging are open for public observation on Tuesday, March 4 and Wednesday, March 5 from 10:00 a.m.-3:00 p.m. Attendance is free, and samples and judging demonstrations will be available! The exciting announcement of the 2025 U.S. Champion will be livestreamed on Thursday, March 6 at 2:00 p.m. (CT) at USChampionCheese.org. Media are welcome to attend all three days of the competition.
