GREENVILLE, WI (WTAQ-WLUK) — A new nonstop flight will let people travel between the Fox Valley and the American Southwest.
Beginning Saturday, American Airlines will offer direct flights between Appleton International Airport and Phoenix. Flights are scheduled every Saturday through May 3.
Phoenix is the 19th nonstop route from Appleton.
“These routes are providing northeast Wisconsin residents greater options when they’re traveling,” airport director Abe Weber said in a news release. “The days of driving two or three hours for convenient flights are behind us as we continue to offer more direct routes.”
Meanwhile, on Friday, Allegiant resumes its seasonal nonstop route to Savannah, Georgia/Hilton Head, South Carolina. The route will be offered twice weekly through May, then on Saturdays through Aug. 16.
