(WNFL/LEARFIELD) – Yesterday was the day to put the loss by the Green Bay Packers in the rear view mirror and look ahead to this Sunday’s game at Lambeau Field against the Chicago Bears. Packers coach Matt LaFleur talked yesterday about the mindset of the team from here on out.
LaFleur said Sunday’s game wasn’t up to their standards.
As for what lies ahead, it can’t help but be noticed that the Packers are 11-5 with the 5 losses coming against the Eagles, Lions and Vikings. LaFleur talked about that yesterday.
Defensively, when the Green Bay Packers were prepping for the Minnesota Vikings, Packers cornerback Jaire Alexander was practicing and his presence certainly would have helped with the Packers defense. Then we found out on Friday that he’d been ruled out. So yesterday Packers coach Matt LaFleur was asked if he expects Alexander to play at all for the rest of the season?
Whether Alexander is a go or not, the Packers, according to LaFleur need to do a better job in coverage and prevent big plays down the middle of the field.
With or without Alexander, the Packers defense should look better on Sunday against the offensively-challenged Chicago Bears.
