ASHWAUBENON, WI (WTAQ-WLUK) – After a proposed hotel along Oneida Street fell through, Acts 1:8 Ministry is considering different options for the site, just a few blocks south of Lambeau Field.
Acts 1:8 President Jeff Van Beaver says that proposed contract changes by the prior developer led to the deal being canceled.
The organization is now in talks with a different hotel developer, but condos or retail development are possible for the site. Van Beaver hopes to have a deal in place next year.
“With Oneida Street, too, how busy it is, retail would be a natural fit, also. With everything going on around Lambeau, hotel is a good fit. There’s still a demand for more hotels in this area. But we want to look at those options for the condo, too,” he said.
In the meantime, Acts 1:8 plans to at least park cars on the site during the NFL Draft in April. But it’s also open to renting out its entirety property for the event, with a posted a price of $250,000 for the week.
