(UW ATHLETICS) MADISON, Wis. -Wisconsin volleyball and Head coach Kelly Sheffield announces the signing of Addison Horner, Kristen Simon, Madison Quest, and Natalie Wardlow to class of 2025.
“This is a mature group that love to play the game of volleyball. They all have had really good training and come from elite club and high school programs,” Sheffield said. “They have all won at a very high-level coming in. They also all have very positive, yet competitive, demeanors that Badger fans will really enjoy watching.”
Addy Horner
6-3 | Setter/Right Side
Wheaton Ill. | St. Francis College Preparatory High School | Coach: Lisa Ston
Club: 1st Alliance Volleyball Club | Coach: Danielle Mikos and Trish Samolinski
“Addy is a really unique player in that she can help us in a lot of different ways. She sets and plays opposite and could do either for us. Her skill set is similar to that of former Badger, Courtney Thomas. She is strong and can set with range. She can work the court attacking-wise. She is physical at the net from a blocking perspective and has a really nice serve. Addy will graduate early and be here in January.” – Head Coach Kelly Sheffield

Why Wisconsin
“I chose Wisconsin because I believe the coaches, players and environment will help me reach my full potential as an athlete, student and person. The fan base and atmosphere in the Field House is unlike any other gym in the country, and I cannot wait to be a part of it.”
Kristen Simon
5-7 | Libero/Defensive Specialist
Louisville, Ky. | Assumption High School | Coach: Ron Kordes
Club: Adidas KIVA | Coach: Ron Kordes, Anne Kordes, Melissa Bean
“I can see Kristen becoming one of the top libero’s in the college game one of these days. She is one of the hardest workers and self-starters that I’ve seen and is a big reason why we recruited her. She is equally good at serve receive and defense. She reads the game well but also has the athleticism and fierceness to make the tough plays.” – Head Coach Kelly Sheffield

She is constantly looking for ways to get better and has no fear taking big swings for her teams. She grew up following the Wisconsin Volleyball program and knows a lot about the special history and tradition here. Madison will graduate early and be here in January.” – Head Coach Kelly Sheffield
