NEENAH, WI (WTAQ-WLUK) — A pet was killed in a house fire Monday in Neenah.
Around 1:30 p.m., Neenah-Menasha Fire Rescue responded to an incident on Laurel Court. When crews arrived, they found a residential home with “heavy smoke damage.”
NMFR ventilated the house and assured the fire was extinguished. No injuries were sustained by citizens or firefighters, but a pet was discovered dead inside the home.
An unspecified number of residents were displaced by the fire, which caused extensive smoke damage. The cause of the blaze is still being investigated.
