GREEN BAY, WI (WTAQ) – A paper machine fire in a building on Green Bay’s east side caused $2,000 in damages Saturday morning.
According to the Green Bay Metro Fire Department the fire started around 9:30 a.m. due to paper dust near a heat source at a building on the 500 block of Eastman Avenue.
Paper dust had built up in the area of the fire which caused the fire to spread from one paper machine to another.
GBMFD was on scene for three hours fighting the fire.
