GREEN BAY (WTAQ) — For a moment in the third quarter, it looked like the Packers had a chance. The offense was sputtering in the rain, but after completing clutch passes to Tucker Kraft, Romeo Doubs, and Jayden Reed, there was a real feeling that things were going to get going again.
That’s precisely the moment that Packers Quarterback Jordan Love failed to catch a slippery, rain-soaked snapped ball on two downs in a row, forcing the team to go to Brandon McManus, who kicked through the uprights to make the score 24-6, Detroit Lions as the third quarter wrapped up.
They could have used a touchdown.
The Packers weren’t able to cut into the Lions lead much further than that. A 4th quarter Emmanuel Wilson rushing touchdown wasn’t enough. Final score: Lions 24, Packers 14.
