(WNFL/BREWERS.LEARFIELD) – Coming off a season that saw him blast 32 home runs and drive in 112 for the Brewers, shortstop Willy Adames is expected to see his salary skyrocket.
Baseball analyst Jon Heyman suggests the San Francisco Giants might sign the 29-year-old slugger.
Sports Illustrated reports speculation has Adames demanding a nine-figure, multi-year paycheck during the offseason between 100 and 200 million dollars.
The Brewers front office confirms a desire to keep the team’s leader, but may not be able to match the offers from deep-pocket teams like the Giants, the Dodgers, or the Atlanta Braves.
