DAIRY NEWS – Building a blueprint to success in today’s fast-paced dairy industry starts with a productive, profitable cow herd. The 2024 Herdsperson Conference presented by Professional Dairy Producers® (PDP) is a one-day event designed to provide actionable strategies for farm owners and dairy decision-makers to help improve herd health and boost the bottom line.
Two repeating sessions of the workshop will be held on Tuesday, Oct. 29, at Food + Farm Exploration Center in Plover, Wis., and again on Wednesday, Oct. 30, at Arlington Research Station Public Events Building in Arlington, Wis. Each day, registration begins at 10:00 a.m. with the program concluding at 3:30 p.m. Simultaneous Spanish translation will be provided for the entire workshop.
“Investing in herd health and management pays dividends for today’s dairy farms,” said Paul Lippert, vice president of PDP board of directors and Pittsville, Wis., dairy producer. “The practical strategies and management insights from the 2024 Herdsperson Conference will help boost herd longevity, leading to sustainable success and long-term profitability.”
Conference sessions will take a deep dive into crucial topics, including advanced biosecurity measures and proactive approaches to maximizing cow health and performance throughout their productive lives. A producer panel will feature insights from some of the top dairy farmers in the U.S., revealing their secrets to herd longevity and sustainable success.
