(WNFL) – The Green Bay Packers improved to 2-1 on the season and 2-0 under QB Malik Willis with a 30-14 win over the Tennessee Titans in Nashville on Sunday. Willis passed for 202 yards and a touchdown and rushed for 73 yards and another score, knocking off the team that drafted him and then traded him.
Packers coach Matt LaFleur said that Willis has been unbelievable.
Willis talked about his return to the Tennessee after being traded by the Titans to Green Bay less than a month ago.
Willis who made in second start in place of the injured Jordan Love talked about how rewarding it was to beat the Titans who had given up on him and traded him to the Packers.
Willis also talked about not turning the ball over in his 2 starts.
The Packers defense was pretty darn good, too. They had 2 interceptions, a fumble recovery and 8 quarterback sacks. Packers coach Matt LaFleur talked about having so many guys involved in the takeaways and sacks by the defense.
With the defense playing so well and the Titans offensive line hurting, laFleur was asked if there was blood in the water.
Not that we’re looking ahead or anything up next for the Packers are the 3-0 Minnesota Vikings Sunday at noon at Lambeau.
