LINCOLN COUNTY, WI (WTAQ-WRN) — Formal charges against one of two teens accused of the death of a staff member at the Lincoln Hills youth prison.
17-year-old Ryan Nyblom is charged in Lincoln County Court for party to felony murder and party to battery in connection with the death of Corey Proulx.
Nyblom waived a preliminary hearing for his case. An unnamed 16-year-old resident at Lincoln Hills is facing reckless homicide charges.
Nyblom is accused of standing by while the 16-year-old assaulted Proulx.
The case has sparked increased scrutiny of the facility, which has been the subject of a federal civil rights investigation in recent years.
