(WNFL/LEARFIELD) – In the Packers season opener against the Philadephia Eagles, the Packers defense didn’t look like the coaching staff had hoped, giving up over 400 yards and 34 points.
Packers coach Matt LaFleur said that heading into Sunday’s game against the Colts, tdefensive players have shown in practice a strong desire to bounce back from last week.
LaFleur said that when you have a new system and don’t play your starters in the preseason, you might start slower than you would like, but they chose to not risk injury to starters.
He added that he feels they made the right decision despite losing the opener.
As for the team they’ll be lining up against,LaFleur said that the Colts defensive line does a good job of working together.
He said that they will be paying attention to defensive tackle DeForest Buckner.

- Green Bay returns to the road next week with a trip to take on the Tennessee Titans. It marks the first time since 2000 that the Packers have played two of their first three games vs. AFC teams.
