DE PERE, WI (WTAQ-WLUK) — St. Norbert College in De Pere says it surpassed its 125th anniversary fundraising campaign.
Launched publicly on May 19, 2022, the “Support What Matters” campaign aimed to grow the college’s endowment by $125 million.
The campaign concluded on May 31, 2024 and has raised more than $128 million.
“We are deeply grateful to our generous donors, whose unwavering support has made this achievement possible,” said Dr. Laurie M. Joyner, President of St. Norbert College. “This milestone not only strengthens our endowment but also reinforces our commitment to providing accessible and affordable education. The impact of this campaign will be felt for generations, ensuring that St. Norbert College continues to serve its mission and thrive for the next 125 years.”
The “Support What Matters” campaign began with a silent phase in June 2016, and garnered substantial contributions from alumni, parents, friends, faculty and staff.
With the generosity of 17,000 unique donors, this historic campaign:
- Created 139 new endowments
- Nearly doubled the institution’s endowment to $188 million
- Funded the development of the Donald & Patricia Schneider Family Hall
- Took in $50 million in endowed gifts
- Created $17 million for the St. Norbert Fund unrestricted scholarship fund
- Raised $28 million from alumni
Key priorities of the campaign included scholarships and financial aid, strategic innovation, mission (Catholic, Norbertine, liberal arts), and contemporary student experiences.
