CLINTONVILLE, WI (WTAQ-WLUK) — Two people were arrested Sunday after a traffic stop in Clintonville resulted in the seizure of various drugs and paraphernalia.
Just before midnight, the Clintonville Police Department stopped a vehicle in the area of S. Main Street and W. 1st Street for an equipment violation.
K9 Thor was deployed to the scene and alerted officers to the presence of illegal narcotics. 12.19 grams of suspected methamphetamine, 2.11 grams of suspected fentanyl and drug paraphernalia items were found in the vehicle.
Officials say a 65-year-old Wautoma woman and 33-year-old Neopit man were taken into custody.
The woman was arrested for possession of methamphetamine, a narcotic, illegally obtained prescription medication and drug paraphernalia. She already has an open felony case for manufacturing/delivering methamphetamine and other drug-related charges.
The man was arrested for possession of methamphetamine and felony bail jumping. He currently has two open felony cases and was on probation for possession of methamphetamine and narcotics and various other charges.
