(WTAQ-WLUK) — Two Big Lots stores in Northeast Wisconsin are among hundreds nationwide closing.
The company has announced plans to close its locations in Neenah and Fond du Lac. Statewide, locations in West Bend, La Crosse, Menomonee Falls, Mount Pleasant and Sheboygan.
In a July 31 filing with the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission, the company said it would close as many as 315 stores nationwide as part of its “previously disclosed intention to aggressively address underperforming stores.”
The Columbus, Ohio-based company reported a net loss of $205 million in the quarter ending May 4, 2024.
The Big Lots location in Green Bay is expected to remain open, as are stores in Eau Claire, Janesville, Milwaukee and Stevens Point.
