APPLETON, WI (WTAQ-WLUK) — An Appleton house fire caused about $350,000 worth of damage.
It happened in the 4100 block of S. Woodendale Way around 2:49 a.m. Wednesday.
When crews arrived, they saw heavy smoke coming from the eaves all around the house.
Residents woke up to properly working smoke alarms and were able to safely evacuate. Appleton fire says this potentially saved lives.
Fire investigators are working to determine a cause.
Appleton Fire says residents should know two ways out of every room within your home.
