KIEL, WI (WTAQ-WLUK) — Kiel residents will decide this fall whether or not to pass a $67 million dollar referendum.
During a special meeting Monday night, the Kiel Area School District’s Board of Education approved putting the referendum on the ballot for the November election.
If passed, the money would be used to construct and make renovations at the current high school to create a combined middle/high school campus. It includes funding for safety, security and site improvements, as well as district-wide maintenance and infrastructure improvements.
This past spring, the Board sent out a survey asking community members to answer questions related to the future of the building. Click here to view the results.
