GREEN BAY, WI (WTAQ-WLUK) – Two more suspects arrested in connection with a large-scale drug bust were charged Thursday. But, as with the other four people previously charged, the criminal complaints were sealed from public view.
Michael Oliver and Jessica Wright joined Ebony Austin, Kyla Sanache, Cheri Austin, and James Grandberry as facing charges in Brown County.
Oliver, 52, faces four charges, including manufacture & delivery of fentanyl and cocaine. His request to lower the $100,000 cash bond was denied. He returns to court Sept. 17 for a status conference.
Wright, 44, faces 12 counts, including manufacture & delivery of fentanyl and cocaine. Her request to lower the $750,000 cash bond was denied. She returns to court Sept. 25 for a status conference.
Police also arrested Felton Currie as part of the operation, but no charges have been filed in that case. He may appear in court Friday.
At a news conference last week, police said the arrests were the culmination of a six-month investigation. The suspects allegedly were involved in trafficking drugs from Chicago to Northeast Wisconsin.
Five search warrants were executed in Brown County earlier this month. A simultaneous search of the stash house in Chicago yielded 12 kilograms (26 pounds) of fentanyl, four kilograms (nine pounds) of cocaine, 748 grams (1.6 pounds) of meth, 460 grams (one pound) of heroin, 16 guns and some marijuana.
Online court records reference “intercepted wire communications” as a reason for the sealed files.
Police originally identified Ebony Austin as Ebony Grandberry, but court records show the different identification.
