MENASHA, WI, (WTAQ-WLUK) — A 25-year-old woman was taken into custody Saturday night for Felony Operating While Intoxicated 2nd Offense causing injury for a head-on collision which sent four people to the hospital, including herself.
According to Lieutenant Matt Lenss of the Menasha Police Department the crash happened just after 8 p.m. when a vehicle traveling north on De Pere Street crossed the centerline and struck a southbound vehicle head-on.
The driver of the northbound vehicle was transported to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries. During the investigation officers observed evidence the driver was impaired. Menasha Police says they’ll be recommending charges of Felony Operating While Revoked Causing Injury.
There were three occupants in the southbound vehicle: a 10-year-old, a 27-year-old man and a 53-year-old woman. The woman and juvenile were taken to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries, while the man was transported with life-threatening injuries.
The investigation is ongoing.
