MADISON, WI (WTAQ-WRN) — A man who brought guns to the state Capitol reaches a plea deal.
Joshua Pleasnick, 44, showed up at the Capitol not once but twice last October, both times looking to talk to Governor Tony Evers, and both times armed with firearms.
Pleasnick initially appeared outside the governor’s office. He had a handgun and told Capitol Police he wanted to speak with Evers.
Pleasnick was arrested but posted bail and hours later was outside the now closed building, this time with an assault rifle.
Last week he was sentenced to 30 days in the Dane County Jail after pleading guilty to a misdemeanor charge of carrying a firearm in a public building.
