GREEN BAY, WI (WTAQ-WLUK) – Three people are in custody after a man was reportedly stabbed to death on the east side of Green Bay.
Officers from the Green Bay Police Department were dispatched to the 700 block of S. Roosevelt Street shortly after 5 p.m. Monday, where they located a 33-year-old male from Green Bay lying outside on the ground.
At a news conference Monday night, GBPD Afternoon Patrol Lieutenant Jason Allen said police arrived on scene just minutes after the victim’s body was found. Three suspects were taken into custody about an hour and a half after the incident took place.
GBPD said autopsy results are pending, but the victim appeared to have been stabbed and his death has been deemed a homicide. An investigation is in its early stages and officials are continuing to interview witnesses.
Allen said GBPD is still trying to determine a motive. Allen could not say whether the victim and suspects knew each other or whether it was a random attack. However, Allen said GBPD is not currently looking for other suspects.
“At this point in time, we do not believe we’re looking for any other individuals and we don’t believe that the public is in any danger. We believe this was an isolated incident,” Allen said.
The victim’s name has not yet been released.
