MADISON, WI (WTAQ-WRN) – Recall petitions against Representative Robin Vos are due today at the Wisconsin Elections Commission.
This is the second effort by Vos opponents to recall the Republican Assembly Speaker. The first fell short of the signatures needed.
If the signatures do get turned in, there are a series of deadlines, including an opportunity for Vos to challenge and for petitioners to respond.
If the commission eventually finds the petitions sufficient, state law requires an election to be scheduled for the sixth Tuesday after that ruling. That would be August 6. If a primary is needed, it would be August 6 with the recall election four weeks later, September 3.
