GREENVILLE, WI (WTAQ-WLUK) — Appleton’s airport is making it easier for Green Bay Packers fans to cheer on the green and gold on the road.
The airport announced changes and additional nonstop flights for Packers away games from Allegiant Airlines.
Nashville (Tennessee Titans game)
- The original Friday, Sept. 20 departure from Appleton to Nashville (BNA) was shifted to Saturday, Sept. 21 with a 9 a.m. departure.
- An additional return flight was added on Monday, Sept. 23. There are now flights departing Nashville (BNA) for ATW at 11:06 a.m. and 4:37 p.m.
Los Angeles (Los Angeles Rams game)
- A 2:50 p.m. flight departure from Appleton to Los Angeles (LAX) was added for Friday, Oct. 4.
- An 8:30 a.m. departure from LAX to ATW was added for Monday, Oct. 7.
Jacksonville (Jacksonville Jaguars game)
- A 7:30 a.m. flight departure from Appleton to Jacksonville (JAX) was added on Friday, Oct. 25.
- A 12 p.m. departure from Jacksonville (JAX) to ATW was added on Monday, Oct. 28.
“It’s clear Allegiant backs the home team,” said Appleton Airport Director Abe Weber. “This route expansion is in direct response to consumer demand for flights to away games. They say Packer fans travel well and this expansion will help more people cheer for their favorite team.”
The additional routes are considered special events and ticket costs will be slightly higher than normal Allegiant routes.
