APPLETON, WI (WTAQ-WLUK) – A group of veterans received a celebratory homecoming as they returned from a whirlwind trip to our nation’s capital.
Old Glory Honor Flight Mission 67 left for Washington, D.C. in the early morning hours Wednesday, and arrived back at the Appleton International Airport (ATW) later that evening.
Awaiting the veterans was throngs of cheering well-wishers, holding signs and dressed in red, white and blue attire. A band was also on scene to play patriotic music as the veterans made their way through the airport parade.
