Big crowds returned big dollars to the Packers.
GREEN BAY, WI (WTAQ-WLUK) — From the upcoming schedule release and a young Packers team to next year’s NFL Draft — fans have plenty to be hyped up about in Titletown.
Supporters of the Green-and-Gold are beaming with optimism as a new regular season is on the horizon.
“Jordan Love was so impressive last year and I think coming into this year, I think he’s going to be even better, so there’s so much excitement with this young team,” said fan Kari Jenny.
From Green Bay’s arch rival to teams like the Miami Dolphins, fans are looking forward to seeing how the Packers face off against their opponents.
“I’d love to see them go against the Bears because we own the Bears,” added Jenny.
“I’d love to see a team like Miami have to come here when it’s cold,” said Rick Schmidt. “That’s just a joy for all of us as fans to watch something like that.”
Another international game for the Packers also has fans intrigued, with the team set to take on the Philadelphia Eagles week one in Brazil.
“I think that’ll be a super cool, I guess just environment to play in,” said Grace Jenny.
“It will be interesting to see what the culture is like in Brazil and how football, American-style football, is perceived and received down there,” said Schmidt.
Between the anticipation of a new season — as well as counting down the days, minutes and seconds until 2025 NFL Draft — fans say this next year compares to no other.
“It’s a different air, it’s really cool that like I said, the draft is coming so it’s, yeah, it’s going to be a good year,” said Jodi Lund.
While there’s plenty of logistics to still be worked out for the draft, Packers faithful continues to echo it’s just what the area needs.
“All the eyes are going to be on this town at that time and it’s so deserving for our community and our state to get that kind of opportunity,” said Schmidt.
