OSHKOSH, WI (WTAQ-WLUK) — Recent drug bust efforts by the Oshkosh Police Department resulted in two arrests and multiple traffic stops.
On Thursday, police and the Lake Winnebago Area MEG (Metropolitan Enforcement Group) carried out a coordinated operation executing two drug search warrants in the 700 block of Franklin Street.
As a result, a 32-year-old Oshkosh man was taken into custody and is facing charges of possession with intent to deliver cocaine, possession of marijuana, possession of drug paraphernalia, and a probation hold violation. In addition, a 37-year-old Oshkosh man was arrested for possession with intent to deliver cocaine and possession of drug paraphernalia.
The next day, on Friday, officers conducted a drug interdiction on Highway 41. This resulted in 15 traffic stops with 11 warnings and 4 citations being issued. K9 Odin was deployed twice during these stops.
