TWO RIVERS, WI (WTAQ-WRN) — Two Rivers Police Chief Ben Meinnert says the focus remains on Two Rivers and Manitowoc County in the search for Elijah Vue.
“All our efforts have been more local; based on the tips and the leads that we’ve followed up on and the videos that we’ve reviewed,” said Meinnert. “In addition, looking at missing and endangered statistics, all those factors lead us to believe that we are searching in the areas that we should be, and we will continue to expand our search in those areas.”
It’s been more than 50 days since the three-year-old went missing.
Elijah’s mother Katrina Bauer and her boyfriend Jesse Vang – who reported him missing February 20th – are both charged with child neglect.
The total reward for information leading to Elijah’s recover is now $40,000.
The next coordinated search is scheduled for Saturday morning.
