GREEN BAY, WI (WTAQ-WLUK) — The stage is set and a line is forming ahead of former president Donald Trump’s rally in Green Bay.
The Republican nominee will speak at 5 p.m. Tuesday inside the KI Convention Center.
Tickets may still be available.
Trump is expected to attack President Joe Biden over his handling of the U.S.-Mexico border and the economy.
This is Trump’s first visit to Green Bay in four years and his first to Wisconsin in two years. That’s when he appeared on behalf of Tim Michels before he lost to Tony Evers in the 2022 governor’s race.
That is just one of the recent examples of Democrats having the edge in statewide races here. The state is still very much purple with Ron Johnson also winning a statewide race that same election.
Trump won Brown County four years ago, but narrowly lost the state to Joe Biden.
The Trump campaign is expected to really get going in the state over the next month or so with dozens of field offices opening up across the state.
Trump’s visit comes on the same day of Wisconsin’s spring election. Next week, President Biden will visit the battleground state in Madison.
