(WTAQ-WLUK) — Outagamie County has awarded a $500,000 grant to a mental health clinic.
The grant will be used to develop and establish innovative curriculum and training programs at Us 2 Behavioral Health Care, Inc. in Grand Chute.
The money comes from the town’s American Rescue Plan Act (ARPA) dollars for behavioral and mental health.
Us 2 Behavioral Health Care, Inc. will provide licensed social workers, therapists, and counselors in Outagamie County with essential Continuing Education (CE) sessions to uphold their licenses. Additionally, the program will offer Equity, Diversity & Inclusion (EDI) training to foster professional growth and enhance outcomes for individuals accessing mental and behavioral health services. This funding will also facilitate the enhancement of Us 2 Behavioral Health Care’s existing systems, including technology, equipment, and office infrastructure, to elevate the overall trainee experience.
