MARINETTE, WI (WTAQ-WLUK) — A 58-year-old woman is in custody after leading authorities on two vehicle pursuits Monday.
Around 4:40 p.m., Marinette County Dispatch was notified of a vehicle driving erratically. Officers with the Marinette Police Department located the vehicle and tried to initiative a traffic stop, but the driver fled and a chase ensued. However, it was “later terminated for safety reasons.”
A short time later, a deputy and an investigator with the Marinette County Sheriff’s Office located the vehicle, still driving erratically. Law enforcement attempted another stop, but it led to a second pursuit.
Eventually, the vehicle was stopped at a Kwik Trip on Hall Avenue.
The driver, a 58-year-old woman from Menominee, Michigan, was arrested.
