APPLETON, WI (WTAQ-WLUK) — Officials say they’re close to making their $12 million goal for the renovation and transformation of the Appleton Public Library.
So far the Friends of Appleton Public Library have raised $11 million of their $12 million goal for the Building Beyond Words Capital Campaign.
As part of the campaign, Mary Beth Nienhaus provided a $500,000 matching gift challenge, which has been successfully completed.

Work on the library is expected to be completed in 2025.
While the library undergoes its transformation, the library is operating in a temporary space at the former Habitat ReStore at 3000 E. College Avenue.
