TWO RIVERS, WI (WTAQ-WLUK) — An unattended incense burning stick caused a house fire in Two Rivers.
Firefighters were called to a home at 2420 45th Street around 3:20 a.m. Tuesday.
All occupants were able to get out safely before crews arrived. Once firefighters arrived, the small fire inside the home was quickly extinguished.
The home sustained minor smoke and fire damage.
No injuries were reported.
The Two Rivers Fire Department would like to remind residents to use caution when burning incense sticks or any open flame devices such as candles. Working smoke detectors are also essential to early notification to occupants of the home. Smoke detectors should be checked twice a year to ensure proper operation.
